Enticing delights are coming to our Café and Shop

WOW! It is getting exciting on Lannister Farm as we get closer to the opening day. Only one month left to the 6th July… I can’t wait to welcome you to the farm when we open our doors in what is sure to be one of the best family days out in Northern Ireland.

So what’s been happening since the last blog entry?

Well we now have a chicken coop and the new chickens will be arriving shortly. That means fresh eggs for sale every day. Why buy supermarket eggs that are weeks old, when you can taste the freshest eggs imaginable bought from the farm shop. The experience of a fresh egg will make you doubt ever going back to the supermarket for eggs again. The yolks are richer, the flavour is better, and you can literally taste the freshness. But it does not just stop with chickens… we are getting ducks too!

The café wherever possible will be using our own produce, so you know it will be fresh. Out of the things we can’t produce on the farm, we will be sourcing our coffee from local business, Pure Roast Coffee. There is nothing quite like the rich aroma of freshly ground coffee. But, if coffee isn’t your thing, we have sourced our tea from Love Leaf Tea so that you are guaranteed the choicest tea leaves in a selection of blends to suit your taste. And for the children (shhh… and the adults… if you don’t tell, we won’t) there will be Morelli ice cream.

In the shop, as well as fresh eggs, we will be selling our own fruit and vegetables for you to take home and whip up a tasty meal with the freshest ingredients. And why not enjoy that meal with a loved one?  We will be selling Ella Mac candles so that you can create the perfect romantic candlelit dinner. We are continuing to try and source other local products and hopefully expand in the future.

But don’t forget that the grand opening day is on the 6th July and there will be lots of family fun and entertainment to enjoy. So please do come and see us. We are really getting excited to welcoming you to Lannister Farm.

…to be continued.
